Ho Ho Hopping Through The Holidays

Ho Ho Hopping Through The Holidays

santahoppingGoodness! Where does the time go? It is certainly a busy time of the year.  And I LOVE this time of year.  There are Christmas songs playing, bells ringing, holiday bags, lights, greenery, and things are just bustling.  There is movement.  People are out and about.

This can be a “good” thing, or it can be a “bad” thing.  It depends so much on our attitudes.

I’m grateful for finding Sonia Choquette’s book and cd.  I mentioned it in a previous blog.  Both are entitled, Traveling at the Speed of Love. It is such a compliment to what I live and believe.  I’ve been deLIGHTing in reading and applying some of her “flying lessons.” (Her book is written as if you’re on an airplane).

During this season, there are more people out and about.  The stores are crowded.  Check out lines are longer.  Wait times are longer.  Traffic is thicker.  People can be grumpier and impatient.  There are parties to attend and family gatherings with people we love and some people that may “push our buttons.”

Fa la la la la la la la la  . . .

How we “do” the holidays is a choice.  For about 10 years now, I have been practicing the Louise Hay tip/affirmation of deciding “they are doing the best they can.”  This is not saying that I am condoning improper behavior.  However, when someone slllloooowwwwly turns in front of me, cuts me off, does not have their credit card handy, an item is not marked and requires someone to go look it up, or a cashier is slow … I decide to take a big breath, and trust that they are doing the best they can.  How do I know what is going on in their Life? This technique has brought a lot of peace into my Life experiences.  Another way of saying this same thing (in my opinion) is to see the Light of God in everyone.

In addition to this, here are some other ways that Sonja shares in her book to travel through life (or holidays) at the speed of love.  I believe they are worth sharing: see the humor in the situation/laugh, pray, and her all time favorite is to sing!  Singing reconnects us with our hearts and strengthens our inner Light, it also restores our JOY.

I will add … hop and skip.  Yes! That’s a great way to free your spirit and let the love flow.

Let’s reconnect with our JOY and laugh, pray, sing and ho ho hop through this blessed and magical season.

Happy Holidays from The Happy Goddess.
